The international drill IPA KAMPEKX 2015 was held between June 15 to June 17, 2015 in Vizbegovo, Skopje. The drill was organized by the Directorate for protection and rescue of the Republic of Macedonia in cooperation with the EU General Directorate for Humanitarian aid and Civil Protection and the consortium formed for this purpose, consisted of the services for protection and rescue of Slovenia, Croatia, Germany, Italy, Sweden and the private company “Synergys” from Austria.
The Fire protection Union of Macedonia took role in the organization of this drill and participated with 50 activists from the Municipal fire protection Unions and Macedonian fire protection Union of Skopje.
The basic scenario of the drill was a disastrous earthquake in the country and building a camp (tent city) for the affected population. The drill started on June 15 with the simulation command stuff drill in which regional countries aid was accepted. On June 16 the teams from Macedonia, Red Cross from Macedonia, Germany, Italy, Turkey, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo have arrived. And at June 17 the camp was set and 250 displaced persons were accepted. At June 18 Fire protection Union of Macedonia and the other participants simulated wounded persons and part of them helped in the sustaining security in the camp, and all this part was the mail in the drill.
