From 18 to 20 October 2013, Hotel Romantic in Dojran, organized by Macedonian Green Center, supported by USAID, UNDP and Ministry of Environment and Physical Planning of R. Macedonia, was held 10th annual meeting of civil organizations which work on the field of environment and sustainable development.
The annual meeting was held in the framework of the USAID project for Municipal, climate change strategies project, which Milieukontakt Makedonija implements.
The general goal of the tenth annual meeting was Green Agenda promotion, as a model for making local strategies for climate changes in Macedonian municipalities, and development of the coordinative body for collaboration between GO and Ministry of landscape and physical planning.
At the opening of the meeting to the audience spoeke: the Minister of Environment and Physical Planning Mr. Abdulakim Ademi, the Mayor of the Dojran municipality Mr. Borce Stamov and the president of the Macedonian Green Center Mr. Metodija Sazdov, and also the director of the Milieukontakt Makedonija which implements the USAID project for Municipal climate change strategies, Mr. Igor Slavkovski.
At the meeting were present representatives from more than 40 organizations (Fire protection union of Macedonia was one of them) and in working groups defined the problems and priorities connected with the climate changes and environment in Republic of Macedonia.
